Dare to Discover is the U of A community’s vision for our University; it was developed in 2005 with extensive consultation from the community.
Each of the Vice-Presidents was asked to develop strategies that fulfill the Dare to Discover vision. The two academic Vice-Presidents, Dr. Amrhein, Provost and Vice-President (Academic), and Dr. Babiuk, Vice-President (Research), developed Dare to Deliver as the response to Dare to Discover. Dare to Deliver’s mandate will end July 1, 2011. Thus Drs. Amrhein and Babiuk are working with the campus community to bring forward a new Academic Plan that will continue to put Dare to Discover into action.
The Provost would like to acknowledge the writers of the Draft Academic Plan (in alphabetical order): Marc Arnal, Carol Cass, Jason Cobb, George Pavlich, Andre Plourde, Frank Robinson, Colleen Skidmore and Leah Trueblood, as well as all those that took the time to provide input and feedback.
The University of Alberta Academic Plan, Dare to Deliver 2011-2015, was approved by GFC at its March 30, 2011 meeting and is available below in English and in French.
