Scholarly Writing Supports
Scholarly Writing Supports across the University of Alberta.
Following a GFC discussion in May, 2016, the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) gave Deputy Provost Wendy Rodgers and Vice-Provost and Dean of Students André Costopolous a mandate to engage in a thorough review of Scholarly Writing Supports across the University of Alberta. From August to December, 2016, they hosted or attended 25 meetings including two town halls. In addition, feedback was collected online from 80 individuals.
In December, 2016, a working group was struck to review the consultation feedback and to compose a report of recommendations to enhance scholarly writing supports across the institution. The report will be made available at two town hall consultations on March 7 and 8, 2017 and an online consultation form is available to provide feedback.
